Dow Announces Price Increases in North America for Specialty Acrylic Monomer Products

Midland, MI - March 28, 2005

The Epoxy Products and Intermediates (EP&I) business of The Dow Chemical Company, is increasing prices in North America for two of its specialty acrylic monomers, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate (HEA) and Hydroxypropyl Acrylate (HPA).

List and off-list prices for HEA and HPA will rise by $.10 per pound. The increases are effective April 1, 2005, or as contract terms permit.

Dow, a leading supplier of specialty acrylic monomers for more than 25 years is the only company with plants 100 percent dedicated to the production of these monomers, which provide consistent quality and unique chemical resistance and weatherability in the production of resins used in a variety of high-performance coating applications.
