Dow Announces Price Increase of Glycidyl Methacrylate (GMA) in Asia Pacific Market

Hong Kong - April 12, 2005

The Epoxy Products and Intermediates (EP&I) business of The Dow Chemical Company is increasing price by 8 percent for Glycidyl Methacrylate (GMA) in the Asia Pacific market. The increase is effective May 1, 2005, or as contract terms allow. Dow had earlier announced an equivalent price increase for GMA in North America.

Customers interested in learning more about the price increase should contact their local Dow sales representative.

Dow is the leading worldwide producer of GMA. GMA is a high purity, dual functionality monomer - bringing together the chemical resistance of an epoxy with the weatherability of an acrylic. GMA is used in a wide variety of high performance coatings applications.
